The Data Management and Protection Forum took place for the first time in view of the new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This cross-industry forum was intended as a platform to help facilitate discussions on how data can be transformed into value for businesses and how international standards can facilitate this process. Participants learned about the current state of data management; discussed ways to address interoperability; examined data security issues; and explored the capabilities and protocols needed to manage data effectively.
International speakers discussed and shared the challenges when dealing with data, and presented the newest approaches they apply to cope with the increasingly complex data management ecosystems.
