Infocredit Group in collaboration with ICSA present The 2nd Corporate Governance Conference, with “The Value of Good Governance” as its main topic, on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 08:30, at Hilton Cyprus, in Nicosia.
The 2nd Corporate Governance Conference aims to provide all participants with the professional knowledge and tools needed for them to understand the value of Good Governance and the necessary good practices around it. The Conference also seeks to inform participants about the core competencies of a good Corporate Secretary and to give them the technical skills for effective Board Succession planning that will be useful in their everyday business exchanges.
One of the prominent speakers of the Conference is Simon Osborne, Chief Executive and a Fellow of ICSA: The Governance Institute. Osborne qualified first as a solicitor in 1973. Before taking up his current role, he was a freelance governance consultant. In that capacity, he acted as the Joint Head of ICSA Board Evaluation, working with companies, UK regulators and other organizations. Until April 2003, Osborne’s career was in the British railway industry as general counsel, company secretary and later as main board executive director. He is a past chairman of ICSA’s Company Secretaries Forum, which comprises mainly company secretaries from FTSE 350 companies. He is also a member of the International Corporate Governance Network and chairs its Bylaws & Procedures Committee. Osborne is a NED of two small media companies and Vice-President Deputy of a charity. At the 2nd Corporate Governance Conference, Osborne will analyze the topics of The Value of Good Governance and Effective Succession Planning.
The conference is specifically addressed to Board Members, CEOs, Managing Directors and other senior executives and specialists from the biggest corporations based in Cyprus, and more specifically from the following sectors: Public Companies, Banks, Audit & Accounting Firms, Law Firms, Fiduciary and Corporate Service Providers, Forex Companies and related associations.
