Course description:

The staff manual is one of the most important tools that must be available to businesses of any sector for the education and training of their human resources.


This handbook recounts new recruits and includes all the important information which employees are required to know. The HR manual may include useful information about a business so that the company goals, its values, vision, legal status, structure and its policies are clear to all employees.

 

A good HR manual also includes information on staffing policies, employment relationships and what it means to act professionally. A staff manual may include information on employees' earnings and benefits as well as managing the Human Resources of the organization.

The above points do not apply to all businesses therefore each business should adapt the manual to its own needs. 

 

Workshop aims:
The purpose of this workshop is to equip the participants with the appropriate knowledge and tools to create a useful and effective staff manual tailored to their own needs, thus contributing to the better
understanding of the business, increasing commitment and hence improving efficiency and productivity on the whole.

 

The workshop is addressed to:

  • Administrative staff in middle and upper management with increased responsibilities.
  • Personnel assuming the responsibility of creating an HR manual: Human Resources Officer, Administrative Officer.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Prepare the basic structure and main contents of an HR manual for their own organization.
  • Know the basic content of the manual.
  • Draw up their own manual.
